The attached changes in the law have an effect on some of our members. We are putting this out as an informative message. There are some exceptions:
If your employer has more than 500 employees (i.e. Sachs electric, Miller Electric, etc.)
Your Job has been shut down.
You are already on a layoff or furlough.
The Governor’s executive order for senior citizens and those with underlying conditions to stay home falls under the #1 flyer. If you are still working and your employer has less then 50 employees, they can ask for exemption, but may not get it. Read the attached notice carefully and notify your employer if you meet any of the listed provisions. If the employer says you don’t qualify and you believe this is an error, please contact the Local Union.
